No live reading
- Confirm Microphone permission is allowed for Decibel Meter Premium.
- Make sure a call, camera or recorder is not using the microphone.
- Open Input inside the app and choose Reconnect.
- If access was permanently denied, open the app’s system settings and allow Microphone access.
Demo mode remains available without microphone permission, but it does not represent live ambient sound.
The reading looks unexpected
- Remove cases or accessories that cover a microphone opening.
- Do not touch or move the phone while comparing readings.
- Confirm the active input route and whether it is built-in, wired, Bluetooth or USB.
- Compare from the same position, orientation, weighting and response setting.
- Remember that this app reports a consumer estimate, not a certified measurement.
Session or sharing problem
Keep enough free storage, reopen Saved sessions and try CSV if a PDF or image destination is unavailable. If CSV sharing cannot open, the app asks before copying the report to the clipboard.
Exports may contain timestamps, notes and user-entered location labels. Review a file before attaching it to a public message.
